ARIZONA BORDERLANDS SEARCH AND RESCUE

COVID-19 UPDATE: Questions or concerns about COVID-19? Please review our FAQs prior to applying.

The need right now to grow our Arizona Borderlands Volunteer Search and Rescue (SAR) Team is pressing to prepare for the hot summer months in the corridors of Arivaca, Ajo and Tucson. We are looking for volunteers to help us build our crew this summer.

What we do: The Search and Rescue/Recovery (SAR) team is a working group of No More Deaths comprised of volunteers from various areas in the Southern Arizona borderlands. The project consists of an Arizona search and rescue phone line, and search and rescue response teams. It runs additional supporting projects, such as distribution of harm-reduction information and supplies.

Volunteer opportunities and requirements: SAR is currently in need of new and returning local volunteers!

Southern Arizona locals, please fill out this form.

Returning volunteers (and those with SAR experience), please fill out this form to apply for one of our summer monthlong programs.

(Due to a high volume of interest, it may take a month to receive a response.)
