Spring fees

The information below applies to the 2018 program and may change for 2019.

Sustaining fee: $450 per person

The recommended fee for spring participants helps us support the costs of providing humanitarian aid year-round, beyond March. By paying above the base fee you are not only covering the actual costs of running the spring program, which include housing, food, transportation, and humanitarian-aid supplies, you are also ensuring that we can continue doing this work beyond your stay.

Base fee: $300 per person

This fee reflects the true cost of running the spring program. This means covering the training supplies, food, transportation, and volunteer coordination.

When the base fee is still prohibitive, we will work with folks. No one is turned away for lack of funds.

Fundraising

Grassroots fundraising to come out and do this work is highly encouraged. We encourage students at colleges with social-justice centers, alternative-spring-break programs, student clubs, or any access to institutional funds to pursue these resources. Other grassroots fundraising efforts have included crowdfunding (such as GoFundMe or CrowdRise), fundraising dinners, events, tabling, and presentations. We have resources, fact sheets, presentation materials, and further ideas so please feel free to reach out. We want to support you in supporting us.

Payment schedule

If you are invited to volunteer with us, the first fee installment of $150 is due by February 3. The balance of your fee is due by March 1. All payments made toward the spring volunteer program are nonrefundable.

You will receive an email invoice from No More Deaths via Square. Please check your inbox and send payment by the due date. If you are unable to pay via credit or debit card online, please notify the volunteer coordinator and send a check to:
