Position Available: ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR – 30 Hours (per week)


No More Deaths is seeking someone to manage, coordinate and do the administrative tasks and activities that the working groups in our organization generate. A good understanding of the No More Deaths mission is important while doing the daily/weekly nitty gritty and often time -sensitive duties that require attention. The job entails several consistent tasks and roles for the overall organization.

  • Oversee contract process for new and current coordinators
  • Ensure current paperwork is on file at UUCT and NMD
  • Alert working group 4 months before contract end (1 yr contracts)
  • Liaison with fiscal sponsor, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tucson
  • Send out bi-weekly paystubs to employees
  • Ensure mail gets picked up and delivered to appropriate recipients
  • Liaison with  St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church and oversee storage space
  • Convene bi-weekly NMD spokes council meetings
  • Send reminder emails, solicit agenda  items, prepare meeting space, and ID facilitator and note taker for each meeting
  • Track decisions proposed and consensed on at Spokes meeting
  • Track and maintain vehicle records
  • Title, register and license all newly purchased vehicles
  • Inform insurance company when vehicles purchased or sold
  • Inform MVD when vehicles sold
  • Annual registration and license renewal
  • Ensure Logistics Coordinator has all current information
  • Monitor insurance cards for all NMD vehicles
  • Works with Phoenix NMD and PHP registrations and license renewal annually
  • Send Phoenix NMD and PHP a bill for their part of vehicles insurance annually
  • Manage all financial contracts ( working with NMD bookkeeper and/or w.g. coordinators)
  • Manage healthcare process for NMD employees
  • Maintains office equipment and supplies
  • Ensure deposits are brought to bank
  • Switch off attending monthly finance w.g. meetings to monitor budget and deal with other financial matters with other admin w.g. members
  • Be available on a few days’ notice to participate in a meeting whose agenda includes an administrative related topics
  • Track down W9s and paperwork for contracted employees
  • Manage NMD phone bill and Verizon account
  • Maintain phones and computers (ordering, replacing etc.)
  • Maintaining the NMD general email inquiries and directing them to the correct w.g. Or person.
  • Directing questions/Emails to the appropriate person from people who don’t know who to contact
  • Reimbursements & Cash deposits
  • All bank matters for NMD

  • Wage: $16 an hour
  • Full-time employees are eligible for health and dental insurance 
  • Cell phone and work laptop are provided by No More Deaths
  • Reimbursement of expenses for supplies, postage, etc.
  • 1 year contract with the option to renew
