No More Deaths has created this map and database of recovered migrant remains for the southern U.S. border as a public resource. It shows known border deaths from 2002 to April 2025. This data does not account for the unknown thousands who have disappeared while crossing the border, whose bodies have never been found, nor can it undo the loss and suffering caused by U.S. border policies, but it does provide the most comprehensive record of recovered remains available. The information compiled to create this resource comes from various sources, including medical examiners, law enforcement, and Border Patrol. More detailed data is available for some regions than others. To protect families’ privacy, all personal identifying information has been anonymized.
